Milk and Honey, Wood Fired Pizzas, Mullumbimby, Australia.

Ok, this is a must do.

Milk and Honey does the most amazing wood-fired pizzas.

The style is classic, with handmade thin crust that goes beautifully crunchy, and a thin layer of ingredients. There is no smothering of cheap and nasty cheese here.

Milk and Honey was packed out, which surprised us somewhat, being in the quiet town of Mullumbimby. Clearly the locals know this place is amazing.

There are no names to the pizzas, just a list of ingredients on a printed out piece of paper – great idea too – let them do what they do best. Classic Italian pizzas.

Prosciutto, ham and spicy salami make up the meatier dishes, and there is a great selection of vegetables such as pumpkin, eggplant and more. We also tried the apple and walnut salad – subtle and a fantastic compliment to a fiery pizza.

The ingredients are local and fresh (the basil was pungent), and the taste is amazing.

Mullumbimby is just a 5 min drive off the Pacific highway – take the time to drop in to Milk and Honey.

Milk and Honey ROCKS! We had pear and walnut salad – near perfection!! 5 star food for a little place.
