More of a loose attempt to cash in on the popularity of Indian food. Perhaps the kitchen staff have no idea of what proper Indian food should taste like. It would be interesting to get a peer review done on the food though. My experience is very bad food, service, toilets etc. probably needs an unannounced visit from the council to check the place out. Not really an Indian restaurant is it ? The food was very poor. We left so much and lied and said we over ordered. Didn't want to get into an argument there. Having been to many good Indian restaurants including in Sth India, never again. Bad service, a quick trip over to the bottle shop for our wine before saying it was not obtainable, food that was tasteless and small servings, and an overcharge at the end! Won't be back! My friends and I were there recently. Food was very average. No Flavour at all. We ordered a chicken tikka and got a chicken in a curry sauce. We told them it wasn't the right dish and they said it was. Fine. No worries.  But for $25 per flavorless dish, get it right.  And $9.50 for naan?? Gimme a break.   The staff all seem to be travellers. I'm guessing management can't get any permanent staff due to all the customer complaints. Stay away peoples. Turkish sandwiches got bits of plastic wrapping in it, cold, was not hot. Waiting staff full of excuses for meals being late. Latte full of froth no body, over extracted expresso of 50ml, overheated scalded milk, for $3.90 per regular 200ml size, expensive. Ordered a mango lassi that did not arrive, just as well it didn't because I saw them using Home Brand can mangoes for it, for $6.50. This is the worst restaurant I have ever come across and I am usually quite tolerant of bad food, but this is just worse than ridiculous. The food is absolutely disgusting for the price they are asking for!! I was here in Byron about 2 and half years ago and I stopped at this little cafe and absolutely loved it but now I wouldn't let my dog eat in there (sorry for being rude - but its just the plain truth!) I then happened to wonder up the street and found Tandoor Palace and having never seen it before I decided to try it that night. And was in for a shock! Cheaper prices, much much TASTIER curries and even had that flavour from India (I've been to India many a times). Service was great, food was tastey and was worth every cent.
