We visited Tsang’s on a rainy Saturday night, and so outside dining was out, so to speak.
Inside is compact with very basic decor, but the food itself is pleasant.
Our table of 8 ordered a banquet, consisting of a mixed entree, satay beef, lemon chicken,
king prawns with vegetables and sizzling mongolian beef. We also ordered a sweet and sour pork.
The mixed entree was mediocre, and somewhat overcooked (deep fried), and nothing out of the ordinary.
The main meals were nice, though not outstanding. The satay beef had a really spicy kick to it, which made a pleasant change and everyone agreed it was the best dish of the evening.
Service was very friendly, if a little chaotic – a lot of attending to takeaway orders.
The verdict – Cheap and cheerful Chinese, at a decent price (which is quite unusual for Bangalow and Byron Bay).
