Quick review – The Bangalow Pub – top of Byron street – Bangalow.

by Nick on November 16, 2006

You can’t miss the Bangalow hotel. Drop in for a lively drink or eat in the restaurant.

Either way, you will have a great meal, and a lot of fun.

Menu is varied with vegetarian options. Pricing is moderate ($20-$30).

One downside, the live music can be loud if you are in the restaurant – don’t expect an easy conversation.

Licensed as such – purchase from bar. Reasonable prices.

bangalow pub is the most pretentious pub i have ever been too. I have lived in sydney.melbourne and los angeles and bangalow pub on a weekend is simply full of arrogent sydney-like neopyhtes who have happened to breed…thus little unsuffererable neophytes…

avoid bangalow at all costs….what ever you do so NOT move there from sydney unless you have 2.5 children and have a beard and a harley and a girl locked up in the cellar

There certainly is a large contingent of Sydney people that visit Bangalow – it is written up in the Sydney papers as one of THE places to visit now (because everyone has done Byron Bay). If you can put that aside, it still is a beautiful town, and well worth the visit!

You, Dave, have a rather ill mind- quite fitting of the stereotype you have placed Bangalow residents under. I myself moved here from Sydney around five years ago, and can quite confidently state that Bangalow is a classy, cute, and somewhat laid-back little town, perfect for those desperate to escape the brick and steel hell that is Sydney, and any city for that matter. Your negativity clearly has no place in Bangalow. Good day.
